Catalyst Mobile Announces Strategic Partnership with NTT DoCoMo to Deliver Decome® Anime Engine, a Next Generation Rich Media Messaging Platform for NTT DoCoMo FOMA 906i Series
EMERYVILLE, Calif. – June 3, 2008 – Catalyst Mobile KK (President: Toyoshi Takahashi), headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, today announced the implementation of Decome® Anime Engine to the FOMA® 906i series mobile phones of NTT DoCoMo, Inc., headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (CEO and President: Masao Nakamura).
The Decome Anime Engine, provided by Catalyst Mobile, is based on the ever so popular Decomail®, further enhanced by the Adobe Flash® technology. It allows users to easily create highly personalized rich animated messages with features such as time, keyword and emoticon- triggered backgrounds.
Decome Anime Engine will be preinstalled on NTT DoCoMo 906i series SH906i (Sharp), SO906i (Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications), N906i/N906iμ (NEC), P906i (Panasonic Mobile Communiations), F906i (Fujitsu) and is planned to be released in Spring of 2008.
About Decome Anime Engine
Decome Anime Engine merges templates (SWF file) with text and various graphic files (JPEG, GIF, Animated GIF, SWF files) and creates a SWF file in real time. Previously, SWF files were server-based, and did not allow consumers to access their rich media messaging platform when they were out of range. Catalyst Mobile’s Decome Anime Engine is client-based and takes advantage of the local processing on the handset to create beautifully personalized rich messages no matter where the user is. Unlike HTML mail, by using Decome Anime Engine, users can insert text, graphics from Decome® Parts, as well as camera phone pictures to easily create a rich and animated mail, with backgrounds which will synchronize based on the phrases, emoticons and dates on the email.
